Let Us Be Responsible
Somewhere along the way it seems over time that our society has lost their sense of responsibility. NO, not everybody, there are still many good, honest and responsible people, but we see daily people wanting to blame somebody else for everything, never taking responsibility themselves. We see parents blaming school teachers for their child's misbehavior. We see people blaming laws or the lack of them for the reason people commit crimes. We see some people wanting everybody else to do for them, provide for them, fix their problems, but having little desire to do for themselves.
People ignore signs, trespass, break and enter, then blame somebody else for what happens to them. It's really refreshing to see somebody say, "It was me....I'm responsible" when they do something wrong.
How often do we let these trends and societal thought processes rub off on us and affect our thinking?
God holds each person responsible for their actions. Others may contribute to our wrongdoing, but in the end, it is our choice. God gives us our intellect, our thought processes, and He expects us to use our brains to guide our decisions in all matters. In Spiritual things, when we choose to follow Him, we choose to deny all others, and that becomes the foundation for everything we decide to do.
How are we doing?
