WWJD

"What Would Jesus Do?" is a question that has probably been asked by people since Jesus walked the earth about 2000 years ago.

The acronym "WWJD" became very popular about the late 1990's and into the early 2000's especially among young people, and became a catchy phrase that found itself on wrist bands, rings, necklaces, caps, even tattoos, and it was a great thing for young people who were trying to follow Jesus, as it was a constant reminder to them to consider what Jesus would do when they faced issues.

And while it is a very catchy phrase that gained popularity and is still hanging on today, it's so much more than just a catchy phrase, because it asks the question that all of us should ask when we face every decision in life. Whether it's a routine daily decision, or a once in a lifetime decision, we need to ask ourselves, 'what would Jesus do?'.

Most of us can bear witness that we didn't always ask that, and made some very poor decisions, mostly when we were young but we're not exempt today. Sometimes we did ask, and still made some very poor decisions! But young and old alike who choose to follow Christ need to use the principal behind that phrase to guide us through life in everything we do.

Our job in this world as Christians is to live like Christ. If we don't know anything about Him, we can't do that, and if we don't use what we do know about Him, we are in just as bad of a situation as if we don't know. But if we've been washed in His blood, He now lives in us, and He's here all day long every day to help us know which way to go when we are faced with a decision.

He wants to help, and all we have to do is let Him! “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭

If we aren't using the WWJD mentality to guide us through life, what principal are we using, and where is it taking us ?

Hope you have a great week!
