Can We Get Too Comfortable?
Ever heard the real definition of insanity? “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
We don't have to be insane to be trapped in that box. We are often confined by our comfort zone. We limit our advancement because we oppose change and we fear new ideas. We just have a level of satisfaction knowing what to expect inside our secure walls, because it's our norm.
If we ever expect to reach higher planes with God, we can't stay snuggled up where we are, we've got to go where we haven't been yet because both growth and change begin at the end of our comfort zone. As long as we keep doing what we already do and are content to know only what we already know, nothing will be different, growth and new opportunities will have the lid slammed down on them and they are stifled, choked off, suffocated.
God is ready to walk with us and hold our hands, caring for and providing for us when we walk on new ground. Perhaps today is the day to take the first step outside of your comfort zone, a step toward a richer fuller walk with God. He encourages it!
