Years ago, I was on business in another town, and was in their police department. They had a full length mirror in the main hallway of the office area, and above the mirror was this message, "THIS IS HOW (TOWN NAME) SEES THE (TOWN NAME) POLICE DEPARTMENT".
As Christians, we are to imitate Jesus in every way we can. We need to strive for our lives to display Him when people look at us.
When we look in the mirror, what do we see? We see a reflection of ourselves, do we not? Certainly I'm talking about our physical appearance. But when we look in that mirror in a spiritual sense, can we see Jesus? Maybe we only see ourselves, or maybe we even see somebody we wish we were not!
In other words, if we look within ourselves as we see ourselves, is Jesus there? Can people see Jesus at all when they see us?
These are good questions to ask ourselves from time to time
Today, let's work hard at making sure people see Jesus in our actions, our attitude and in how we love them. It is only in this way that they will find Jesus attractive, and desire to have Him as the King of their lives.
