What Shall We Do?
On Pentecost, a crowd of people cried out to Peter and the Apostles, and asked, "What shall we do?". That question was in response to the very acute realization that they had killed The Messiah (Acts 2:37-38). Peter told them what to do to be saved, which made them children of God, and followers of Christ (Christians).
As Christians, having already done what Peter commanded that crowd, we too need to ask, "What shall we do?", not because we are in need of salvation, but to please God because He has saved us.
The Scriptures are packed full of instructions for daily living for Christians, and most of us have read them many times, yet we need daily reminders of what they say. Here is a short list, not at all intended to be a complete list!
Bear Fruit
Be Meek
Hunger and Thirst After Righteousness
Be Merciful
Be Pure in Heart
Be Peacemakers
Do Good
Don't Call Anyone a Fool
Do Not Commit Adultery
Do Not Lust
Do Not Divorce Without Scriptural Grounds
Do Not Swear
Resist Evil
Go the Second Mile
Love Our Enemies
Be Perfect Like our Father
Do Not Be Religious Only for Show
Forgive
Lay Up Treasurers in Heaven
Don't Serve Money
Let God Provide, Don't Worry
Do Not Judge
Do For Others as We Want Done for Us
Be Doers, Not Just Listeners
Be Wise as Serpents, Harmless as Doves
Endure Hardship
Preach the Gospel
And all of those just in the first 10 chapters of the New Testament!
Point is, let us brush up regularly on what God expects of us, and let us improve on the things we do so that we serve Him accordingly. A continual study of Scripture will help us examine ourselves, and be reminded of what being a Christian is all about.
