Just the Facts
In a world of falsehood, deception, and all things “fake”, Christians can have confidence in the fact that there is real truth in Jesus Christ. We really can lead a better and more fulfilling life if we’ll only trust in God and do things His way on a daily basis.
After listing nine ungodly characteristics, Paul, in Ephesians 4:20ff says, “But you did not learn Christ this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”
That’s it: 1) hear Him, 2) be taught in Him, 3) understand that truth is in Him, 4) lay aside what you used to be (corrupt with lusts of deceit), 5) be renewed, and 6) put on the new self created in the likeness of God which is righteous and holy.
If we truly want to live lives with a positive attitude, full of joy, and void of complaint, we must simply pursue real truth found in Christ Jesus our Lord.
